I have just read what I wrote last year and feel that in the world we have not moved further on. We seem unable to sort out the dreadful situation in the Middle East and Ukraine is still at war with Russia. We have a change of government here and in America. We certainly have had a wet year with global warming a definite fact. This all sounds very miserable, but we have all had happy occasions, I am sure. Let’s hope 2025 turns out to be a better year. We had had a couple of interesting trips, so we hope that you will spend a few minutes at looking at our Chile and Malawian adventures and also read our longer Christmas letter. In January we decided to have our last big fund raising event to raise money for local charities. Over the years we have raised a considerably amount of money for charity. We held a talk with slides and experiences of our travels over the years and called it 'Around the World in 80 Minutes' . An excellent raffle raised £1,000 and in total we raised £2,700 which we thought was a good result. We are both fairly fit, at least Derek is but unfortunately, I have fallen down a few times. We are looking forward to spending Christmas with James, Helen and their family and possibly going away for the New Year.
